Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAINT calipers work great with SLX levers The Shimano SAINT 4-piston brake caliper has been one of the most noticeable upgrades I've made on the bike - that in conjunction with larger rotors. I paired-up the calipers with Shimano SLX levers. I had no need for the free-stroke adjustment so I opted out of the XT levers. The SAINT calipers come with sintered (metal) pads and broke in and bedded the rotors quite easily. Bleeding the brakes were pretty straightforward and very easy. Please note that these calipers do not come with the brake hose, banjo or o-rings. You can order the SAINT brake hose kit (Shimano BH90-SBLS Brake Hose For Saint) to make these calipers work. If you decide to repurpose your XT or compatible brake lines, you will need a shorter banjo screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly with XT Levers.... The reason you'd buy this caliper over the Zee caliper (which mechanically identicle) is because this £2 more Saint version comes with finned pads where as the Zee does not. I have this caliper attached to an XT lever (785) on the front of my bike and it works perfectly! To do this you will have to buy a new banjo bolt as the XT banjo bolt is a lot longer than the Saint/Zee bolt. Having 4 pistons it is a perfect upgrade over 2 piston calipers with loads of power and modulation, My pads aren't fully bedded in yet and with one finger I can still bring the bike up into an endo whilst still seated in the saddle which is Awesome! It also comes with the yellow block to hold the pistons back whilst bleeding and a pad separator whilst the wheel is off the bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate in braking The Saint brakes are the best I have used for not just pure DH rides but for technically challenging switch backs and sudden line changes as well. The Pistons are ceramic so be sure to never use a screw driver or the like in resetting during a pad change or inspection as they might chip. Otherwise enjoy worry free reliable braking from gentel slow downs to the sudden stops. Have tried magura m8,formula puro,sram xo trail, and shimano xtr. The Shimano saints rule here in the U.S..

Brake hose length

I assumed based on previous raised questions, banjo bolt and hose are provided. What is the length of brake hose?

This caliper is not supplied with brake hose. Only caliper and pads are supplied. Hose will need to be purchased in addition to this product.

Only the caliper and brake pads will be supplied, you will need a Lever and a Shimano brake hose kit.
