Great Quality
Purchased this to get a better range on my cross bike. Really impressed with the quality, has the features of cassettes higher up the range without the price tag! Recommended.

quality shifting for a tiagra 4600 gruppo bike
As you'd expect, top notch stuff from shimano. I'd never buy a non-branded cassette because you'd just get more wear and tear going on.

Tiagra 11/32 & 11/34
I have a Trek Domane 1.0 with Tiagra 12/30 on the back and 50/39/30 on the front.
Would the Tiagra 4700 10 speed 11/32 and 11/34 be compatible?
Am I right in thinking the 11 will give me a slightly easier lower gear than the 11?
Similarly will the 32 and 34 give me higher gears than the 30?
Sorry I'm quite an experinced rider but I'm a novice when it comes to the technicalities.
Thanks
Asked by: trekrider1
The 32 or 34 will provide a lower gear which means it will be easier to climb hills as you will need to spin your legs more that the 30 you currently have.
The 11 will provide a higher gearing meaning that when you are descending you will be able to go faster than the 12 you currently have.

Which rear mech for 11-34T?
I have a road hybrid 10 speed compact with 105 50/34T cranks, I was looking for more range for climbing, which road rear mech would you recommend for the 11-34T cassette? Or would you recommend a MTB cassette and rear mech? Thanks
Asked by: rupertexists
The rear derailleur shown below would be the best option for a 34t cassette as it has a capacity of 39t. Hope this helps.

Replacement for SRAM 11-32T?
Hi there,
Would the 11-32 variety of this cassette be compatible as a direct replacement for a SRAM 1050 11-32T cassette, which I currently have fitted with a SRAM Apex setup on a road bike.
Thanks!
Asked by: an5783
I can confirm this could be used with your current setup without any issues.

Can i use the Tiagra 11-32 to replace my Shimano 105 11-28 (10 speed) cassette?
If not what can i change it to for hills without having to replace rear mech?
Asked by: Silverfoxstu
I run a Tiagra 12-30 cassette with my rear derailleur RD-5700 (that's 105 short cage), with no problem at all in 5yrs - so would say that while some will tell you the theory is a 28tooth sprocket is the biggest you can use with a short cage, practice tells me otherwise.
I'm about to upgrade another bike and am looking at Shimano's compatibility tables (freely available on t'internet) and they suggest a RD-5700 will run a HG500-10 cassette, with no limitation stated. Therefore, I'm going to try a 12-32 cassette.
https://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13064606 - this guy seems to have done exactly this, with no issues.
Good luck

Replacement for Tiagra without changing the rear mech
I have Scott Speedster 30 2015 and with Tiagra RD-4601-SS 20 Speed / 50 × 34 T with 12-30 T cassette. i need a new cassette but i am very comfused to choose a new one.
So is it ok for me without changing the rear mech?
Best,
Asked by: nuvismo
If you choose the 11-25 or 12-28 option for this cassette you would not need to change the length of your current SS RD. Hope this helps.

hi will this 4700 (11-34) work as a replacement for my current Shimano Tiagra 10 speed 4600 (12-30 at the moment)?

I would advise that you may have to change the rear mech for this to work with you current set up.

Will this cassette work on a Diverge
Hi will this cassette work on a 2016 Diverge Elite DSW? The current derailleur is a Shimano Tiagra, 10-speed, long cage and a Shimano Tiagra, compact, 50/34T crankset
Asked by: chaiwallah2
Looking at the specification of your bike I would suggest that this is compatible as you're currently running a medium cage Tiagra 4700.

Will this replace Felt Z35 cassette
My Felt Z35 needs a new chain and cassette and I believe that the existing cassette is a 11-28. Can I replace this as a straight swap with this 11-32 as that would make the hills around me easier.
Which chain would I need to go with this. The front is a standard 50/34 chainring.
Thanks
Iain
Asked by: wimorrison
I would use the long cage derailleur if you want to use 11-32. I use a 105 one perfect for this cassette. You could then go 11-34 if you needed to.
