Best price on the internet
The last time I bought this chain from my local bike shop I paid $59.00. I order the same chain on Wiggle for about $18.00. As a part that needs replacement every few thousand miles, it's important to me that I find them at the best price possible.

Good chain. Use a KMC powerlink rarther than the links shimano send with the chain. Just don't trust them or my ability to fit them

Great
Added new bigger cassette to bike and well miscounted the links by 1... But it is still an amazing chain, this is second ultegra chain and both been great.

Replace your chain NOW!
A new chain makes your bike feel new again. The 6701 is a safe choice for all Shimano 10 speed groups. You do require a chain break tool. And Wiggle had a great price.

Good replacement for the old 105 5700 chain.
Bought to replace an old Shimano 105 10 speed chain on my Felt F75. I did however have the chain break after less 200 miles, but I put that down to the way I removed the links to shorten the chain.

Very poor quality
This is my second such chain, the original only last c1000 miles - this one much less at around 500. My issue is that this chain really cannot take a heavy rider putting considerable force into it, which has caused the chain to come apart on numerous different links - having read up and spoken to others there appears to be an issue with these chains (is this the likely reason it is being sold for half price?). I'm going to change to a KMC brand as these are reportedly much more reliable and fully compatible with the shimano system.

Smooth quality chain
Needed chains to keep my 10 speed 7800 and 7900 gear going.
Those chains are next to impossible to source.
This chain is all-but identical to the 7901 chain I already had, just solid pins rather than hollow. A 114 link chain was 4 grams heavier than the 7901, but probably more durable.
The inner packaging had a sticker reminding of the side orientation of the chain, this had 7901 on the picture!
So a 7901 chain for the price of Ultegra!
I need to buy some more...

Stick to KMC
I thought I'd try a different chain from the KMC 10 speeds I normally get. While this Shimano chain is cheaper, it doesn't come with a quick link, and the connecting pin snapped during fitting. Not only do connecting pins cost the same as the difference in chain prices, but Wiggle don't sell 10 speed ones!

Surprised a chain can make a difference!
Had to break the chain to fit a new front mech so decided was a good time to fit a new chain while i was at it. Old chain just had shimano on it but assume it was a cheaper version being what the manufacturer supplied the bike with, so upgraded to an ultegra chain. Once fitted i found it ran very smooth and quiet even before any lube was applied. Out on the road i was really surprised that fitting a new upgraded chain could make such a huge difference. It ran very smooth and quiet, rear gear changing was much improved (still using the old rear mech) and even my average speed improved slightly!

Very good
Works well, no significant stretching after 2000 Km. It would be nice if Shimano used some sort of master link instead of a master pin like other manufacturers do, but that's really the only complaint I have.

Buy KMC instead!
Got this thinking Shimano would be reliable and ensure compatibility with rest of drive chain. Unfortunately, chain snapped on first ride! Since then have heard of others having same issue. Now have a KMC chain...

Shimano chains are durable and smooth shifting. Replacing the worn chain extends the life of other drivetrain parts.

Cheap and quiet
Works fine on my 2x10 setup, easy to split and soo much quieter than the old chain. I replace my road chain once a year, so just over £1 per month for trouble free gear changing.

Upgrade your bike!
I love to ride back roads so I need to carefully clean and lubricate my chain regularly. On a whim I changed the chain and realised it was like changing my bike. It was smoother, take up quicker and made my bike seem brand new. I will certainly be changing my chain much more often. Warning unlike other chains the Shimano needs to be joined using a chain tool unless you fit a quick link.

Good quality chain
Good quality, value for money chain.
Runs smooth, quiet and shifts well (have used with Tiagra, 105, Ultegra and Dura Ace cassettes).
It's a directional chain, so make sure you put it on the right way (instructions included in the box).
As with any chain, keep it clean and well lubed and it will last.

Top class chain at affordable price and delivered within days could not of got any quicker even if I had gone to my local shop, certainly would not have been as affordable.
