Super stiff
I'm doing a build and i upgraded from the shimano 105 chainset I was not expecting any improvement i was so surprised that the ultegra chainset is so much stiffer and has made the bike so much more responsive and looks nice too. Huge improvement from the 105 well worth the upgrade and it's 50 frame lighter

Excellent upgrade
Last piece of my bike that needed to upgrade to become full ultegra. Lighter and smoother pedalling for sure, or is that just the mind? :-) Well even if its just a mental advantage, definitely feel happier riding my full ultegra bike.

3rd purcahse from wiggle
Shimano always top quality build. The Ultegra level is the best cost-value on their line. Wiggle was the best price online. Super fast processing and delivery! Its my 3rd purchase from them. Will definitely look them again at future purchases.

Does this come with two crank arms or only the chain set crank arm?
I am looking for shorter cranks for a TT bike., assume that I have to buy the chains set as well as the cranks?
Asked by: HKWrighty
Both cranks, as the vast majority of cyclists have two legs.

Can I keep 105 shifters
I have 10sp 105 set up. If I change chsinset derailleur and chain can I get away with keeping the shifters or does it require a completely new group set?
Asked by: 5MJW
Assuming your 105 setup is 10 speed, then yes, this will work fine.

Compatibility
Is the 52/36 version (165mm and 170mm) compatible with a 11-28 cassette?
Asked by: Ish8
The chainrings sizes have nothing to do with the cassette sizes. I use 11-28 and also 12-32 Shimano cassettes. It works well with the 12-32. You may need to adjust your chain length and the B-tension adjustor on your rear mech. I use a 165 crank length 52/36.

50/34 to 52/36
Hi.
I currently have a 105 50/34 and I'm looking to upgrade to Ultegra.
I can't decide whether to stick to 50/34 or opt for 52/36.
How noticeable is the difference between the two?
Will I notice the lack of granny gears from the 50/34 whist on a long step climb?
(PS. cassette will remain the same)
Asked by: Seabass81
There's not a big difference. The overall gearing changes will depend more on the cassette you choose. I run 10s all three standard chainsets (I have a large shed so I've kept my old bikes & now have 4 10s raodies). I like the 11-25 with the 34/50 in the hilly area I reside in. On rides with large climbs I use a DA 12-27 with the compact. The 12-27 works nicely with the 36/52 as well. My choice for normal road riding is 39/53 with 12/25 but if you like to spin and are not climbing huge mountains the 36/52 would make the right middle ground. If you use 11s then I reckon 36/52 with 11-25 for flat courses and 11-28 covers everything.

Shimano Ultegra FC-6800 Chainset / Grey
I have a compact Shimano Ultegra FC-6800, if I replace it with a 53-39 Chain set which is 11 speed as well will I need to make any changes to the other equipment on the bike i.e the cassette or front mech etc
Asked by: bendover123
I can confirm that you will be able to just change the Chainset and lengthen the chain.

FSA BB-6200/Di2 MegaExo, 68mm compatable?
Hi is this crankset compatable with FSA BB-6200/Di2 MegaExo, 68mm?
Asked by: Hebask
It will work with the Mega Exo bottom brackets, however it will not run at its optimum and is best paired with the suitable Shimano bottom bracket.
