Innovation is something Silca has been known for since it was founded near Milan, Italy in 1917 by Felice Sacchi. These technological enhancements came in the form of gauges on pumps, the first true high-pressure frame pump and the first brand to work plastic after WWII. As the Silca grew, so did its ideals, focusing on durability, craftsmanship and innovation.
Silca is the oldest company in the bicycle industry and jumping forward to 2013, Felice Sacchi’s grandson sold the company to Joshua Poertner, previously Technical Director for Zipp Speed Weaponry. Moving the company to Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in 2014, Josh has kept the original ideals of Silca in the products that you see today.
