Inner tube with slimeDoes what it says on the tin- none of this stuff is 100% reliable (especially with larger punctures), but may get you out of a hole!

Is it really a useful thingI think the product does what it says but if you don't min d carrying a spare or repair kit then not sure it's a useful product. With a spare or repair you know when it's fixed .
The problem I had was it took me longer waiting around for the slime to stick than it would if I had just put a new Inner tube in. I then didn't know if it had worked and ab out 800 yards later it went again.
I have similar slime tubes on my daughter's bike where I think it makes more sense as if I am not with her the tube won't get changed ,so as long as someone has a pump she has a. Chance.

Good alternative to TubelessI have used these slime inner tubes for many years. They provide me with a good alternative to tubeless, without the mess. It does add a little weight but its marginal unless you are racing. The price against sealant is also good. Lots of flint and thorns where I ride so these offer a great way of keeping moving on the bike.

Works WellIf can't be bothered with a tubeless set up this is the next best alternative. The only downside is the weight.
will the slime 29 x 1.75-2.125 work in my maxxis ardents 29 x 2.25?
Asked by: hansom13
"We would not advise using this tube in your tyre."
Not a very clear answer, I have rapid rob tyres 29 x 2.25 so from your answer I assume they will fit but its not advised.

How long will the sealant stay fluid.
If the bike is not used for a long time, say three to four weeks, left in the shed. will the fluid go off and harden at the bottom of the wheel?
Asked by: LaoisBiker
For a short period, such as a number of weeks, the fluid should not harden or settle. If the bike is likely to stand for months at a time we may recommend moving the bike every couple of week to redistribute the fluid.

Tyre size 700c x 42
Would this innertube fit the above tyre? If not, which one of the Slime range would be best?
Asked by: Nikv
This should work, however it would be a fairly close fit around the rim.

Will these fit 700x40c tyres?
Have just purchased a set of 700x40c Schwalabe Marathon Supremes for my 29r to do your sportive. Will these fit ok? The road version doesn't seem to be big enough. Cant diy as have presta valves.
Asked by: Chivrover
Unfortunately the 29er tube would be to large for your tyres and would not be suitable.
