Not a bad word to say
As expected, this is a great product. Supple yet strong rubber slides over the levers with ease and is a very snug fit. Looks great

Wanted to replace the original hoods.
Bike came with white hoods, looked great for a while but started to age a bit, replaced with black ones, fairly easy to fit and hopefully will last longer and not tarnish.

A bit too expensive
These hoods do the job but are perhaps and couple of pounds/euros too expensive for what they are. they do the job but after 2-3 seasons hard riding and changes of cables etc do look worn and start to degrade.

Very easy to install. Make sure you get them on snug otherwise you will have shifting issues

I got white and decided I needed to go back black
I was colour matching white hoods to a red deda 35 bar. Then decided that I wanted to go back to black tape and hoods. The white ones didn't seem to fit so well. But I have not swapped the black ones over yet to compare.

brake hoods
Bought them to replace my old worn out hoods - they had done somewhere in the region of 25K miles so they lasted well enough I think.
these fit on my Rival double tap from 2008/9 season, no problems. to fit I found easiest to roll them up first so that they are easier to fit over the brake hood mech,

Very good quality and shape
I bought the pink hoods a while ago and they were great, good shape and feel however they are a little small for apex shifters and I did have to take them to a bike shop to have the adjusted so that the top sits nicely on the shifters.

Great original parts but expensive
Original SRAM parts fit perfectly to double tap levers, comfortable and look great. Downside is they are an expensive luxury or necessity if you have damaged the original ones.

SRAM Brake hood covers
For some reason I had trouble finding any black SRAM brake hood covers. Finally Wiggle came to my rescue and had one pair in stock.
Easy to remove and easy to replace. SRAM brake levers are very comfortable and look great unlike Shimano brake levers which are pretty ugly.

Good grip with plenty of vibe absorption
SRAM brake hoods feel a little chunkier than those of Shimano or Campagnolo in your hands. And you can feel some parts of exposed guts of Doubletap mechanism right beneath the lower side of the hood... I don't mind these, but if you're new to Doubletap levers I'd suggest you try first and see if you can come to terms with these peculiar features.
Other than that, these silicone based hoods feel nice and grippy even on hottest days and freezing days. They're also relatively easy to replace, too.
