heavy durable cheap love it
Been using these a while now. durability pretty good. E-bike has munched other similair cassettes. Sram seems to have got the recipy right. The mud lube at the moment is pretty hard on drivetrain parts, why spend more. love it.

works well but expensive and heavy
works well, looks very very cool but sram parts are expensive, this wide range cassette is very heavy compared to narrower options.

Great design
Much better ratios than other manufacturers 11 speed cassettes. Plus it's way lighter than the bottom end 12 speed set up my bike came with. Swapped the whole ldrive train and shifter out for more robust 11 speed better quality 11 to 46T gearing which is all you ever really need . 50T is a huge gimmick and really not necessary.

Its The Future
Well kind of...
As a leap of faith to a 1x set up on my road bike this is astounding. All the versatility of the 2x set up on this super smooth casette, and all of the range. Some of the gaps between rings can feel a little pronouced on "in between" false flats.
Otherwise, very happy.

Unfortunately this will not be compatible I'm afraid. The maximum the Medium 105 derailleur can take is 32T

Is this compatible with the Hope Pro 4, 11 speed hub/freewheel?
Its the Shimano splined freewheel not the XD freewheel I want to use. The XD 11 speed cassettes are just too expensive
Asked by: hardtail
I will answer my own question in response to the answer posted by Wigglekris ,stating that this was an XD only cassette. That answer is incorrect and misleading. Yes Most of Sram 11 speed cassettes are XD this one however is not.
The product description states its the NONE XD compatible cassette. Sram website shows it as as a Shimano/Sram splined cassette, I own one (the 11-36t version)and its defiantly not an XD cassette, I needed to know if it would fit the new Hope 11 speed Shimano/Sram freewheel on the Pro 4 Hub. I tried on the Pro 2 Evo and it was too wide for the freewheel.
I took a risk and bought the Hope pro 4 rear, 11 speed Shimano/Sram steel cassette option.
The 11 speed Sram PG1130 11-36t black cassette I have fits without using the supplied black spacer. I built my wheel using DT Swiss double butted round not flat spokes on 3 cross and the freewheel has more than enough space, Everything works as it should there is no chain interference with spokes or frame, so to answer my own question, yes it fits.

Is this compatible with XX1?
The XX1 has the thread at the back where many/most cassettes have threads that screw in from the top

New to SRAM
Hi,
I am new to SRAM. My recently acquired gravel bike is fitted with a GX XG 1175 10-42. This is quite expensive and apparently out of stock at the moment.
Could I use this cassette instead ? Is it just a less expensive equivalent ie Tiagra v Ultegra ?
Thanks Clive.
Asked by: Wessex
The PG-1130 cassette is designed to fit onto Hyperglide freehub bodies whereas the XG-1175 is designed to fit onto XD freehub bodies therefore this won't be a compatible replacement, sorry Clive!
