This cassette is cheap and cheerful and does exactly what it says on the tin. Its lasted longer than i expected so it gets the thumbs up from me.

Probably the best cassette available for 8 speed
I own both the Shimano HG50 and SRAM PG850 cassettes.
The Shimano came with the bike and the SRAM was purchased to go on a new wheel set. Initially I wasn't keen on going with a non-Shimano part (the whole group set on the bike is Shimano), but thought I'll give it a go.
Side by side the Shimano cassette just looks like technology that's 10 years old. It also lacks any of the modern weight reduction features so is considerably heavier. In comparison the SRAM's design and chroming looks identical to the Ultegra kit on my father's bike. The shifting is better and chain noise a little less with the SRAM as well.
I think Shimano have pretty much given up on 8 speed componentry, it's only sold on low end bikes and not were the money is. So it's nice that SRAM are making modern cassettes in an 8 speed format.
I'm really pleased I bought this cassette instead of another HG50, it's much better.

Quality at good price
This is a good looking cassette and I well made. I have used not on my turbo trainer wheel without a problem.

Does the Job
Replaced like for like product as this is what came with the bike. Previous cassette lasted well in excess of 2000 mile so hope for the same from this. Fitted nicely on Shimano hub.

Bought to put on my turbo wheel; same cassette as my regular wheel with several hundred miles on it. Easy fit, quality manufacturing & durable.

Good for hills
Bought this to give me more teeth on the hills. Lighter than existing Shimano cassette.

bought to fit new Aksium wheel, easy to fir, looks and feels very good quality even though not expensive. Gear changing is nios nice and smooth, didnt need to change any indexing either.

Great value cassette
Riding LeJog with my wife this year and wanted to minimise any mechanical problems so bought her this replacement cassette. Along with the new KMC chain the changing is smooth and swift. Have had chrome plated cassettes before and they seem to last a lot longer. Good range of teeth too.

Sram 8. speed cassette
Sram cassette is smooth easy fit, and runs on my shimano ultegra gears perfectly. I'll buy Sram Cassette's in future.

not impressed
This gear spread between the low and 2nd lowest gear was to great I returned and bought a Shimano cassette which has a better spread of ratios which suits my riding better.

Hard to fault
Lightweight, anti-rust cassette, it shifts cleanly and reliably with Shimano derailleur. I got a couple of these and mixed the sprockets for custom ratios. The spacers turned out to be different which was annoying but as they're plastic they could be trimmed. It worked well in the end. A great product.

Nice cassette
fits on shimano RS11 no problems.
use a Sram pc890 chain and has smooth gear changes.
Still shiny after 3 dirty autumn months

Good value 8 speed in bright silver finish
Bought to replace a 17 year old shimano 8 speed. Yes the chain and sprocket on the 1997 MTB lasted that long. Once the chain was binned and replaced the cassette needed replacing also and this was the best match. Easy to install and good ratios. Looks tough and due to last another decade at least. Does commuting, holidays adn local trips regularly.

Keen price on like-for-like replacement
Replaced this on a Giant avail 5.
Very easily done, by the way, use the Lifeline set of a pair of tools, all that was needed for the job.
Good price on replacing the worn cassette with the exact model on the bike. No concerns with compatibility as this was my first! (Refer to YouTube for instructions!)

This item did the job!
I'm really happy with this product. It's changes are smoother and more precise than the original cassette on my bike. It has kept its shiny surface, and still looks new after more than a 1000 miles, making it easy to clean. I would happily recommend this product to anyone looking to replace their bike's cassette.
