Description

An all-new clamp design splits the clamp with top access to the pinch bolt (T25 stainless). For MTB the mounting platform positions the cycling computer up and directly behind the MTB bar and stem face plate to better protect the computer when riding on rough terrain. For road the mounting platform positions it to the front of the stem, or flip it to position the computer before the bar for CycloCross use. Works great with your Quarq power meter!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't work for all garmins Being old, and needing reading glasses, I have some difficulty seeing the screen of my new garmin 1000. So I wanted a mount to hold it a little lower, and therefore further away, than the standard garmin mount. This out-front mount is certainly lower, but a garmin 1000 hits the stem and won't fit. Get a Vel, it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on MIO computers (sort of) I bought this to use for a MIO computer. Whilst the MIO computer fits, the mechanism that locks it in place is different on the two systems so it's not as secure as if using a proper MIO mount. It is secure enough to use though, at least for average UK road cycling. I'm not so sure about off-roading or very rough roads/cobbles etc. It looks smart, is easy to fit and fairly lightweight so would be a good cheaper alternative to use for Garmin computers.

A Torx key is like an allen, only with a star shaped end. You can buy them at most bike shops, DIY stores or the internet.

Does a Bryton Rider 40 fit into this bracket?

I *think* the Garmin mounts do but I'd rather check before investing. Looking for something more secure than the standard O ring mount supplied with all Bryton units.

Garmin Edge 1000

Doesnthis work with the new Edge 1000?

I can confirm this should fit the Edge 1000 without any issue, as the unit uses the same contact mechanism as the Edge 500, 510, 800 and 810 models.

How to mount it on your bars?

From the photo I can see there is only one screw attachment. Does that mean that in order to install it I will have to take off my bar tape and shifters, slide the mount onto the bars and then put everything back on again? Or does it bend somehow?

Just remove the screw and it flexes enough to fit without taking anything off the bars such as bar tape or shift levers.

310xt compatibility

Hi. Is there any way this can be used with the Garmin 310xt? I already have the QR kit, but it leaves it at a right-angle. I don't really want to fork out for the Garmin version, but want it to be 'out front'. Thanks

If your Garmin device works on a Garmin out-front, then it will work on this. I'm using a 510 (I think) and it is absolutely perfect and about half the price of Garmin's own mount.
