The Stages Power Meter is great because of its size, simplicity of use and the accurate data it records. The meter has been designed for enthusiastic cyclists right through to pro-level cyclists who want to record their power readings, and cadence, without too much fuss or extra equipment.
The unit is situated on the left-hand crank arm and cannot be bought individually. Instead, the meter comes factory fitted to the left hand crank arm and bought as a unit (meter and LH crank arm) matching the chainset you have. You simple buy the meter which matches your current (on the bike) chainset, remove the LH hand crank arm and replace with the Stages LH crank arm - no other equipment is needed. It’s the easiest meter to install, easy to maintain and extremely simple to use offering the most advanced technology that records power/cadence data which is on the market today.
The Stages power meter is attached to the LH crank arm and only adds a further 20g of weight to your machine. The unit sits at the lower inside of the crank arm and is small – 65 x 30 x 10mm to be precise. Once on other riders will have no idea you are using a power meter to record data as it’s hidden and so discrete from sight. The meter, and it’s electronics, lives in a tough polycarbonate housing because its durable and flexible. The unit is fully protected and sealed from the elements also.
The Stages Power Meter is excellent if tuning into power measurements for the first time or perhaps to replace/upgrade systems you may have already. As mentioned it’s small, requires no further equipment and built with advanced technology to record accurate power and cadence readings which can be downloaded/sent to various ANT+/Bluetooth devices.
