superb cross forks
i have recently changed over to these forks from an aluminium pair as i wanted a more forgiving ride charachteristic, the roads round where i live being a bit agricultural. The difference is simply staggering, much more comfortable and better tracking, i think due to the longer fork rake and being available in an one inch steerer size means my old Sun cycloss frame has a new lease of life.I wish i had discovered these whilst i was still racing as having used carbon cross forks i think these are better,.I would like to try a Surly steel cyclo cross bike if the forks are as good as these.

Great product, well finished, quick delivery
I just love this item, it was hard to find a fork with those spec, 1" not threaded with canti brakes on it. The Surly build is very good and the fork look strong and solid. The price is the lowest I could find. Higly recommend it!

Beats carbon
I bought Surly fork to fit Nitto front rack on my 2010 Jamis Nova race CX bike.
Original carbon fork was light but had front shudders when braking and
it was a bit bouncy and unpredictable in descanting. Whit Surly all shudders are gone
and bike corners lot better.
If I buy new frame, then only component from original setup will be rear brake...
It's not Wiggle only but by great deal. Has been fun to built and configure.

Replaced heavy forks on Bomb rack Arise, comfy and look great. Price is keen and have bought second pair to replace forks on Ridley X bow (aluminum frame) which used for touring,

Good steel fork with all possible braze-ons
This steel fork isn't overly heavy, and features all the braze-ons one could hope for : lower for the mudguard fixations, and at middle height for a panier rack. It also features stubs for V-Brakes (or cantilever) and obviously the drilling for regular race brakes. Very polyvalent indeed.

Great value for money
This is the current model fork with new braze-on mount on the fork crown. Mid blade braze-on for low rider rack.
I bought this for a Soma Double Cross frame and it's a nice match.

Great touring/commuting fork
Combined this fork with a Planet-X Kaffenback frame as the Kaff' fork doesn't have mid-fork pannier bosses. Very good paint finish. Easy to get the Surly stickers off. Easy to thread dynamo wires through vent holes. Can fit hoopless front rack such as Tubus Duo since through-the-fork bosses. Fork rides very well with loaded front panniers. Loads of room for big tyres ("fatties fit fine") without looking too wide. On the downside, and there really aren't any, but the crown is not that pretty, and I can't see me ever using the extra bosses at the side of the crown, so I just put some round-headed allen bolts in there. There isn't really any alternative to this fork on the market with these dimensions and features, and certainly not at this price.

heavy but does the job
purchased as a replacement for a bent fork. the construction and paintwork is excellent. the steel is much stiffer than the forks these are replacing. have used on a XC mountain bike trail and they held up brilliantly considering the roughness of some downhill sections.
plenty of mudguard attachments points if this is what you're after.

Very well made forks, well finished with just the right amount of rake. The bend on them is also very good, they look great from any angle.

Comfy, classic lugged rigid fork.
Firstly, excellent delivery/packaging/Haribo from Wiggle-Thanks! I replaced the Kona Project 2's on my Dawes tourer/hybrid with these Surly forks after a length of fence wire ripped the canti & mount off the p2's (ouch#
The Surly forks are a bit heavier than the P2's, but make up for this in the comfort provided by the thinner curved blades which makes them much softer feeling, absorbing more vibration from the road which the P2 delivered straight to your hands undiluted... Even with 35c tyres on, there is still plenty of mudguard clearance, which was previously a bit tight, so this is a real bonus. the paint finish is great, Low-rider mounts welcome #though I think only the 1x1/8 version has these) overall I'm delighted, real classy looking fork- beautifully made & costing much less than their appearance suggests. Superb!

Really rugged kit
Had to replace carbon forks on youth's cyclo cross bike & these steel ones are much more durable but obviously not as light

Very good
I have done over 1000 miles on these forks now and they are fine and dandy. They replaced a set of forks that were ruined by a woman and her car. The old forks had less tyre clearance and so these forks hoist the front end of the bike slightly higher, which is fine; and seems to make the steering more stable which is desirable for my relaxed touring aspirations. A one inch 'ahead' steering tube on a steel fork with cantilever brake bosses seems to be a rarity and at the asking price, if my memory serves, of a penny under £70, is a good buy, considering the price of such a fork made by a frame builder would, I imagine, cost a lot more. Not a scratch or blemish, so far, to be seen on the black, shiny paint work.
Thank you Wiggle. No complaints.

proper forks
turned my go- anywhere hybrid into a thoroughbred
no weight- limited carbon fibre but robust steel and surprisingly light with a full length steerer and available in 1 inch
no pointless suspension but miles better over bumps than my previous straight forks
i am happier in rough stuff with steel than carbon
good job surly lads!

Convert that hardtail
Nicely made, budget steel forks - great for turning an alloy hardtail MTB into a cyclocross bike. Excellent paint job, not as heavy as I expected.
