Suunto Suunto Ambit HR GPS Watch With HRM 4.8 5 15 15

It's a very good product but a very small dust inside 18 May 2014

Nice product Pros: * No issue using user interface when you are sweaty, unlike the Garmin 410.. * Heart rate strap feels nice and comfortable. * Very easy to read dials. * Very well built, I have no issue with the finished quality (doesn't feel cheap, unlike other manufactures, looking at you Garmin 205,305). * One of the longest battery life for a GPS sports watch.. Which may be handy if your camping for a extra long weekend with no charger. * Link to PC isn't using some third party dongle, I prefer a cable then a third party dongle which you can easily loose (Garmin 410). Cons: * If you have a small wrist, like my girl friend you will struggle tightening band.. For me it isn't a problem and is nice and comfortable. Lets hope they come out with another design for smaller wrist people. * Software to analyze runs is on website, so you need internet usage to view (my internet at home is woeful).. I am not that keen on doing this, but seems to be the trend things (Nike+, etc) so I can live with small disappointment. * Unable to use my polar heart rate monitor, so added expense of buying compatible strap and they are not cheap. * Seems a little expensive compared to the basic models of Garmin .. If you only wish to know basic information such as pace and distance then you might wish to go for a cheaper Garmin (110). But after faulty Garmin 305 and Garmin 410 that you can't control once you sweat, I will be staying away from Garmin for a long, long time.. 13 November 2013

Expensive just if you don't use it enough Battery as long as expected. If you want to track long routes by bike, by run, hiking, walking on mountains... whatever. Accustom to other watches that need some minutes to catch gps signal, this one usually takes less than 30 seconds to recognize both HRM and GPS, so you will be ready for your ride just after going out. It is a little bit expensive, sure, so probably it is only worth if you are planning to run-bike-hike for more than 7-8 hours. If that's not the case, for sure that you can find cheaper options. 04 November 2013

exactly what it claims to be I read up and this exactly what I expected and wanted,its a large solid unit (its quite heavy) with a very clear display,it finds GPS signal quickly the fact screen layout etc is changed from your computer suits me fine as I found the software easy to use and much easier than fiddling with the watch. 04 June 2013

Does it also show the pace in minutes/1km? I know that it shows the speed,but I don't see anything about the pace

I can confirm that this does not link to the Suunto foot pod so it will not show pace. If you would like pace you will need a watch that also has a foot pod like the Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS Sports Watch with HRM and the Garmin SDM4 Foot Pod. I hope this helps.
