Rated 4 out of 5 by from you'll need it if you have PoolmateLive so far it works fine after drivers were installed manually. As soon as you have decided to buy PoolmateLive you definitely need the pad. Otherwise, simply take Poolmate2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indispensable If you use the Pool Mate Live swim watch, you must have this too. It allows you to download data from the watch to your computer. It all works very smoothly, and the computer program allows you to 'see' your swimming data much more easily. If you use a Mac, you may need to leave the download clip permanently plugged into a USB port. I used to plug mine in only when I needed it, but there seems to be a bug in the system somewhere. Could be a problem with OS El Capitan, or with the PoolMate software, but once the download clip has been connected to a USB port, I found that I could not use that same USB port for eg. a memory stick because it will not recognise the memory stick again, until after a system reset. The only flaw with this product, is that you have to buy it separately. It is such an important accessory for the Pool Mate Live watch, that it really ought to be sold with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes the PoolMate Live even more informative With this neat interface you can download swim data to the downloaded data suite . From there you can ; - Track how your technique is changing using a graph. -Track the time and distance you are swimming. -Download data to the swin. com community to have offline storage of your date - Download a .tcx file which you can load into Garmu Connect , Strava , Training Peaks etc. It really helps to track your swimming data. Only grouse is the price for what you get but well worth it if you want to track your swims.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed This is an excellent means of putting the data onto the computer, but the connection between the watch and the unit lacks a 'definite connection' i.e. it slides around rather than clicking into place. Each time you use the lead you need to slide the watch by a few millimetres to get a usable connection. In the end you get it to work, but there's a needless faff that is frustrating. Overall - worth having, but expect to waste a few needless heartbeats getting it to work.
