Top quality aluminum and highly polished
The picture here doesn't show how polished the silver TA chainring really is. You could wear it as jewellery! When I got them I noticed how sharp the teeth felt and after 500km they still feel sharp. I don't see any wear yet. Only mileage will tell if it was worth paying more for TA 7075 aluminum chainrings but so far I'm impressed!
The only issue I had during installation was when the chain was on the inner chainring and on either of the two outer most cogs the chain would randomly catch the outer chainring shifting ramps (pins) then drop back down again. This was not a cross chaining issue. The Shimano chainrings using the same chain, spider and cassette never did this. Specialites T.A. told me to use 5x0.5mm thickness spacers to set the inner chainring into the frame side. This worked great!

Great Chainrings
TA are simply the best replacement rings in the market place.
They do exactly what is claimed, the materials are hard wearing, the finish is excellent and the prices are right.
This is from over 50years of experience

I have used this 38t ring on older style 8speed ultegra bike. The teeth are slightly offset and it works best with the teeth away from the larger ring, otherwise the chain scrapes on the inside of the larger ring and the chainline when in first gear in too acute. TA havn't skimped on material, its chunky and tough. After assembling it to my crankset it looks so shiny its ashame to get it dirty :)

Smallest 130BCD ring yolu can get
Caution your spider may not be small enough to allow the use of this chain ring unless you wish to get the grinder out to shorten the arms as mine interfered with the chain fitting on the teeth, would be the same for any 38 tooth 130BCD ring.
Other than that very light and easy to fit

TA delivers
I use this as single ring with dura ace 7800 cranks on my cross/ commuter. Perfect as it has no ramps or pins, (44t). Solid ring, looks great, feels sturdy, build quality is excellent.

Solid Sprocket
After a few hundred kms I think it's enough to be able to reveiw.
I have the 3/32'' to try on my one year old bike, as the present ones have seen better days!
Yes, they are expensive, but are also the best quality I have come across & are worth the extra cost.
I like having the size & no. of teeth stamped onto the side. Great help when it's time to change the gear.
After 2or 3 kms they had bedded-in.
Very smooth & well machined, fit into the links without any crunching, etc. This will be the real test over the winter. So far, so good.
I have had no trouble with them at all.
When possible I will replace all the sprockets with the Surly.
I only wish they were a British make.

Solid chainring
Very stiff, well made relatively light ring. Bit expensive though.
