A stronger bolt than standard shimano plastic bolt Originally i wanted to get these crank arm bolt for blink factor but later i realize the original Shimano bolt is actually made of plastic. This is use to tighten your left crank arm (load) before you slide in the pin and torque down the 2 smaller hex bolts to secure onto the spindle. Seriously it looks great and knowing that it is made of light weight alloy i feel much safer compare to the plastic bolt which comes with your shimano crank. I am using Ultegra 6800 crank so i presume it should also fit DA9000 and 105 crank. 06 May 2016

Looks ver nice Much better looking than the cover that is included with the krankset. Also removes the need for a special tool which is great. 29 April 2016

Excellent replacement Having had the Shimano plastic cover mysteriously dislodge itself from the chainset I was pleased to see someone made something that both works better and doesn't need its own specific tool. Screws in firmly and the silver blends in to the cranks well. 06 August 2015

Chainset Hex Bolt I was disappointed to loose the poor supplied hex bolt on my new groupset, when I went back to my LBS to get a new one Shimano sent out a poor cover cap - what do I want you may well ask? This hex bolt is machined beautifully & looks shmick on the crank to those who may see it - I know it's there & it looks great, a understated bit of bling to your steed! 13 August 2014

Does the job It's a bolt. It fits where it should. It's red. works fine so ticks all the boxes. 08 November 2012

Sadly this would not be compatible, as this bolt is designed only for the Hollowtech 2 pre-load system.

This is most definitely *not* suitable for the 5600 (or compatible models eg 6600, 4500 etc). I've just this minute attempted to use it.

I can confirm that this item WILL NOT be suitable for requirements.

Ordered this item due to the above question and answer to find it did not come close to fitting. The the threaded body of this TK-B2009 is about and extra 50% wider. Granted mine would have been for the 5603 (triple version of 5600), but my original documents from Shimano says it is the exact same part as the 5600.

Happy though that Wiggle makes it easy to return items.
