quick stand
great stand for all bikes. I ride mountain and road, using the flash stand at Mtn events and at home repairing and cleaning the bikes.
I love this little compact stand that is easy to travel anywhere, easily fit it into a back pack and quick adjustable to all bikes.

Good for on the trail and for use while washing
Good product, helps out when doing at-the-trailhead fixes. Also works well while washing.

Good for Road, Bad for MTB
This is a frustrating piece of equipment. It is so close to being brilliant, but falls short. The concept is brilliant, a compact fold-able and affordable work stand, but it feels like a prototype with a bit further to go in the design department.
For Road Bikes, it works quite well. I was able to do gear adjustments with little trouble, although it is very unstable and takes a bit of getting used to. If I only had a road bike I'd be recommending it, despite its shortcomings. It works brilliantly as a storage stand for the road bike at the moment, as my MTB is main priority at present.
But for Mountianbikes it is close to useless. It is simply not sturdy enough to hold the weight and bulk of a MTB. It is awkward to fit on the bike, and extremely unstable.
Perhaps the ad for it should include the warnings that come with it: "...not designed to be used on any bikes with obstructions on the down tube at 110mm to 140mm from the bottom bracket ie shock mounts, water bottle mounts...not designed for bikes using Shimano Nexave series shifters..."
And " maximum loading weight should not exceed 14kg (30.8lbs).
"Not recommended for use on grass, loose dirt, gravel or uneven surfaces." It would indeed be impossible to use in most instances out on the trail.

Every part time mechanic should have one
I have for years only had one bike to service and fettle, so have never felt the need for a workstand until the family came along with all their bikes. Suddenly, I was looking around for something that would fit in my modest shed and then assemble outside for work., but didn't cost the earth. Imagine my surprise to find this nifty gadget. It comes in at a quarter of the price of a conventional workstand. It fits in the bottom of your tool box, heck it fits in your hydration bag if you want to take it with you. It lifts the rear wheel up so you can turn the crank without having to hold the bike up yourself, and it fits mountain bikes and hybrid/road tourers. Okay so you will still need to sit on the floor and make the adjustments but that's still a lot better than the alternative.
Like other reviewers I'd say its not going to be the most stable, but then this is not the stand for someone who is spending hours making fractional adjustments.

OK for temporary use
fine as a temporary stand for gear adjustments and more permanent if placed on a level surface.

One of the most handy tools
The stand does what it's advertised; although I've been skeptical at first on the hook section not being able to clamp onto my bike (Canyon Endurace CF series), the design of the hook is wide enough to accommodates all types of frame & it hooked onto the frame without any issue.
It comes with a storage pouch & a spare piece of rubber (which sits between the crank-tube and the stand)
Although it weight at 550g & it's a bit large if one wants to keep it at the back-pocket. it can be kept with other spares if one want to take it on the next randoneur ride.
overall it's probably the most mobile bike stand one can buy.

Don't buy for carbon OS frames
I wish I had read reviews before buying this.
The stand is not suitable for carbon frames (Orbea Orca 2015). It does not properly clasp a downtube and its arm blocks rotation of the crank. In addition bike is unstable even when adjusting the rear derailleur not to mention anything more advanced. It is not fully suitable even as a storage rack.

Nice foldable stand for small maintenance work and bike storage. Good quality and great value for money.

You get what you pay for
Crup.
Little feet fall off, doesn't fit oversized bike frames, isn't stable. An Xmas cracker type of gift.

Good for the right application
I live in an apartment and do most of my bike work down in the storage locker. While this thing is no comparison for a real rack, it's great to be able to work on my rear derailer without constantly picking up the bike. It packs up into a tiny package (approx the length of a crank arm) and could be taken on the road for any trip. Down side is that it's not nearly as stable as a real rack.

Very useful for prepping your bike, or odd jobs
A cracking little work stand to keep your bike upright while tinkering or prepping for a ride. It lifts the rear wheel up allowing you to adjust your indexing/clean cassette easily.
It's stable enough to use when giving the bike a wash, so long as you're not too vigorous.
It can be a little unstable if you have to do tougher jobs or move the bike about.
Compared to a full workstand, this is great value for money.

Portable bike stand
A recurring problem when you have a light racer is the lack of a stand when you take a break, Topeaks flash stand is a flexible solution that you can carry in your backpack, with rubber on the parts that comes in contact with the frame there are no risk of scratches.
The only minor disadvantage the weight of 500 grams, it might get you in better shape:-)

It's okay, but don't touch your bike once it's on
The quality is good, but definitely not a workstand as they mention in the title.
As soon as you touch your bike while it's on the stand, then it moves position and you have to move the stand again.
Can't see how it's possible to wash your bike while on this stand or adjust gears ect.
For now it will do to keep the bike standing, but that's about all this product is good for.

Very handy for a home mechanic.
I was quite surprised by it's small size but was pleased with it's performance. It does exactly as claimed, lifts up the rear of your bike and enables you to do your routine adjustments/checks easily. The package comes with a different set of pads for bikes with under-bb cable routing. The 14 kg load capacity is enough for any bike.

Good product.
Probably best as a flash stand for events. I don't use it as a stand at home now because it wasn't sturdy enough.

Good simple stand
A good compact simple stand. It sells for a lot less than the fancier stands, and I guess You get what You pay for. I wasn't prepared to dish out the cash associated with a "professional" stand, so this was a good middle way. Perhaps a bit wobbly, but once I check that the support points on the stand really are carrying the bike properly it has served me 100 %. It caters for all of the bikes of the family, from my kids bikes (6 and 9 years old) to 26" and 29" MTB's as well as a pretty Heavy ladie's city bike. So far the stand looks and feels like an item of good build quality.

Not suitable for all bikes
The build quality seemed to be fine, but I was unable to use it due to the arrangement of cables under my bottom bracket.
19 May 2015
Not for me or my carbon bikes
I have a Giant Deft Advanced bike. I couldn't get the mounting arm to reach around the downtube in a way that was safe for the bike's frame, nor even vaguely stable. I expect this will work fine on narrower (more rounded) metal frames but on over sized carbon frames its best to be prepared to have to return it.

Great little stand
Great compact folding stand. I bought it for my road bike for cleaning and tuning. I was dubious after reading reviews about poor stability but its actually really good and more than sufficient for my road bike.

Portable fettling device
I don't have a lot of space in my garage or apartment for a full-size work stand so this little stand is useful for fiddly jobs like adjusting rear and front derailleurs. It is not as stable as a full-on work stand of course, but does the job. I keep it in my bike bag or under my car seat when going away for the weekend.

Excellent
Bought the product to use to stand the bike on to get ready for rides, clean the chain and other small tasks. Works perfectly for these jobs. Just watch your fingers when folding it up.

Quality Well Engineered for Display/Maintenance
The stand has a quality feel to it and comes with a travel/store bag. It's much nicer than the display stands, which hold the seat and chain stays, that cost about £7.50 less.
There are polarised views on this product, the reason is simple, FIT! So before purchase consider what style of bike you have.
On my carbon bike with oversize downtube, this stand does not work at all, as the upper hook part has no adjustment to go over the downtube, with the bottom bracket shell resting on the rubber pads.
On my steel bike with traditional tubing, this stand is superb, the product caveat about bottle cages isn't a problem (the mount is higher than the hook).
Simplicity means limitted adjustment, basically the height, for road or mtb clearances, plus higher rubber pads to avoid resting on the cable guides under BB shell. Probably the metal hook could be redesigned to adjust, or use a flexible padded plate on arm, with velcro strap to secure standard and oversize downtubes to it, but THEN putting bike in stand is a 2 handed multi-step operation.

First class product
This is a really clever bit of kit, I travel a lot and taking a full size work stand would not be feasible. This is great for lifting the rear wheel off the ground for cleaning and maintenance of the drivterain, it's not a substitute for a proper work stand but as a portable alternative it works well.
Beautifully made, very robust and comes in a handy travel bag.

Difficult to use
I bought this stand with great expectations, but I found it difficult to use on my bike - I have a light hybrid bike. It may be a dimension problem. However, I find that I ususally has to work quite a lot to get the stand in the right position. If I have someone to help me lift the bike it's much easier to get in place.

Small and packable.
Fits my odd shaped carbon frame bike with no issues. Large hook sits over the down tube and the rubber pads sit under the bottom bracket. Fairly stable and good for standing it up by the car at Sportives or if you need to do a quick bit of maintenance with the back wheel off the floor. Can't fault it...

Doesn't fit on a Cervelo P3
Tried in many angles, but it just didn't fit my Cervelo P3.

Has it's uses, but doesn't replace a workstand
Really convenient little stand for apartment uses (keeps your bike out of the way and free standing). Good for very maintenance (cleaning, lubing chain, minor derailleur adjustments.) It does not replace a proper workstand however, the hold is very precarious, and the working position is uncomfortable.
10 August 2014
Good for minor works
Very portable stand and stable enough for small works. Needs a good surface for maximum stability but far better than asking someone to hold the bike up whilst fixing and adjusting.

Practical and handy
Not a proper bike stand by any shape of the imagination, but a) is a fraction of the cost and b) easily packs away in a rucksack or pannier (therefore great for when touring).
Easy to set up and pack away - really pleased with what I'd thought was going to be a short term measure.

Rubbish product
Really poor - very unstable - not fit for purpose - don't waste your money
