Topeak Topeak Mini 18 Plus 18 Function Multi Tool
Does as it says
Unfortunately I have had to use this tool already, and it works a treat and fits in my saddle bag with all other stuff perfectly.

A tool for almost every job!
I bought 1 of these about 4 years ago and it has been in my back pocket for every road ride in that time. I have not been disappointed. The assortment of tools should cover just about everything that you will find on a bike. This newer version has an upgraded chain breaker but otherwise appears to be identical.
The tyre lever has been used on too many occasions and has been surprisingly effective for something so simple. I haven’t had a single pinch flat from the use of this lever.
The chain breaker looked too small to be effective but there is more than enough leverage to pop a pin out. I like the fact that it detaches from the tool.
The allen key selection is so broad that I find myself grabbing this tool at home as the first tool for any job. Whilst it may have larger allen keys that fit crank arms, they are really only useful as a temporary fix for a bolt that comes loose on the road rather than extracting a tight bolt. It is only for bigger jobs like this that I need to go to bigger tools with more leverage.
The little pouch provides a bit of padding if you are going to carry it in a jersey pocket and is also handy for keeping a couple of speed links in case there are any chain problems on the ride.
Overall, I can’t fault this tool in any way.

Got me out of trouble several times. Really excellent quality and very compact

Excellent small multi tool
I have bought many cheap multitools in the past and decided to upgrade and pay the extra money for a quality tool which would fit in my small seat post bag for a 100 mile sportive. This is light, has a great array of tools which are strong enough to get the job done without either snapping or rounding the allen key bolts.
I've not had the misfortune to need to use all the tools whilst out on the road but I'm confident that if trouble times come calling - this little beauty will get me out of trouble.

Good quality tool, fits snug in a small saddle bag.
Fits in the hand well & has all the important tools you will need when out on your bike

Best multi-tool I've owned
Great product. Compact, every tool I need, and chain breaker is the most efficient I have used on a multi-tool.

First class item
This tool is great, its compact and I have used it several times over the past year. Some cheaper tools fall to pieces in my saddle bag. This comes complete with a study case. Can't fault the item.

Must Have for Every Ride
3rd of 3 variants of multi-tool purchased - and the best for tool selection and the very simple thing of ...... it comes with a pouch. So fits easier into saddle wedge / pocket / spares bottle.

Small and light.
Great little tool. The smallest and lightest I could find in this price range.

Brilliant little tool
a brilliant little multi tool that has a very handy chain link splitter
to get back on the road when your chain snaps

small & compact multi tool, good quality, has all I need to take on a day out !

Neat product that easily fits in pocket or saddle bag. The chain splitter is a neat design that does not interfere with the other tools. So impressed I bought a second one for the MTB saddlebag as well as the road bike.

it's probably overkill for a saddlebag emergency toolkit, but it is serving me very well, it has more tools than I will ever need.

Multitool with a chain splitter, get you peddling
I needed a multitool for my hybrid to put in a saddle bag and forget about, ideally with a chain splitter, this Topeak was perfect, I also have the topeak 20 and having used that on the road, I thought this would be ideal and wiggle had a low price.
First impression looks good, topeak do make quality, as do lezyne and crankbrothers which I also considered and to be honest they all look good and well built,
Topeak ones do come in a neoprene pouch which is a nice touch, hopefully not need to use it too much on the road, but I've done basic adjustments on the bike in the garage and the Allen keys all work well and are strong

All the basic tools you need for ride emergencies. A sturdy little package. Fits in my small saddle bag with 2 tubes & a gas bottle

Compact, strong and light weight.
Great multi tool, very small and lightweight. Includes all tools you could require whilst out on a ride. Case makes it easy to store in under seat pack or a pocket.

Brilliant little set
Got everything you need, simple backup tyre lever and chain link tool included. Little pouch to keep it all included. Never get on the bike without it.
24 March 2015
This is a high quality tool. I especially like the fact that the chain breaker is secured into the frame of the tool (not loosely fitted by magnets like some others).
27 February 2015
It has great features, everything you would need for running repairs whilst out on the road.

Everything you need..
Everything you need in a compact good looking well made bit of kit.
10 September 2014
Does exactly what its meant to, sturdy, well made. Don't go out without it now.

Small light and functional
Seems to have everything I may need on the road. Chain tool looks the part but not used in anger yet. Well made and very compact; very pleased ail far.

size v features compromise.
Plenty of tool options but still reasonably small. Chosen because it includes a chain link tool. Snapped my chain 500m into a 70k circuit. Walked home and got my spare bike and carried on. Decided to get this tool and a spare link for my saddle bag. 35k into the middle of nowhere with a snapped chain would have been a bad day. I've had Topeak tools before and they are good quality but not silly money.

Saved the day
The combination of this little handy tool, a spare tube, a spare chain lock and a pump should take care of most problems facing you in the trails.

The Swiss Army Knife for Your Bike
If the Swiss Army has a tool for their bikes this would be it! Being such good value, I carry one of these on each of my bikes. They come with a quality pouch and a tool for most eventualities. I particularly like the way the 19 variant has both flat and philips screwdrivers included.
28 October 2013
So far so good
Fortunately I did not yet needed to use the tool in anger, mainly having to use the Alan Keys so far.
I have tried the tire lever but is a bit small to be useful (and there is only one) but still handy as a backup.

Does the job
Check what you have on your bike before ordering a multi tool! I ordered this but on closer inspection, all the Allen bolts on my bike are 5mm! I could have saved a fortune!

Everything you need
I bought this topeak 18 piece multi-tool, as a present for my husband who is putting together some road cycling kit for the first time. I am pleased to say that after choosing from all of the multi-tools available, he was really impressed with it. It had everything that he required. It is also useful for making minor adjustments, prior to a ride, without having to use your main tool kit, especially if you just left the house.
