Not universal
A good, strong looking, cheap rack. Only problem was there were no horizontal bars at the bottom to hook onm my deuter paneers. Couldn't find any way of hooking them on.
So looked good, felt strong, but defintaly not universal.
I took a refund and found a more expensive but compatable rack.

Neat rack
I wanted something light and this rack certainly is a lightweight. It was easy to installI. In a few minutes i had the job done. The weldings are clean and it does look good on my bike. A usefull addition.

Nice look, light and good priced
I was looking for a light rear rack for my everyday fast bike and for lightwheight touring. This one fits nicely with a nice price and is very light.

Great Value
This is excellent value in an inexpensive aluminium rack for a commuter or if you have several bikes needing racks to make them more useful. For loaded touring you may want something with more than a 25kg max load rating and quadrilateral shape side frames for controlling well stuffed panniers. That said, it works fine with lightly loaded Ortlieb back-roller panniers with the adjustable hook on the back panel to capture the vertical strut. If your panniers use a bottom hook on elastic strap to hold the panniers in close, this rack lacks a spot to hook the hook. I chose the black sandblasted finish option which appears both even and durable. The welds are neat and good looking and a rear plate is provided for mounting a tail-light. Fitting was easy with solidly made drawbolt fittings to adjust length and distance apart of the horizontal stays. The makers thoughtfuly provide half a dozen 5mm capscrews in assorted lengths for mounting the rack. You choose the four which work best. The screws have a dry blue threadlocker already applied.
In short, an attractive looking rack which won't weigh down your bike or your wallet.

Just works
Purchased the rack for some lightweight touring and was nearly put off by reviewers saying it was fiddly to install. If you can use an allen key and you have a modicum of patience, installation is a breeze.
Great price too. After a weeks touring, some of the black paint has been scraped off, but that is no big deal......

Does what it says on the tin
I have a boardman that I'm using for a touring ride and this works a treat. Saves me trying to bodge something on the bike, and I can take the rack off just by replacing the seat post clamp with the factory fitted one. Simples

Cracking Value. Fits compact frame
I was in two minds between this or the more expensive Fly rack. The Fly looks nicer but I couldn't justify the extra cash and I had my doubts as to whether the single arm would support my laptop on my commute.
I'm glad I went with this one. Very light but still sturdy. The best selling point though is the adaptability of the arms to fit compact frames. This has gone onto a Felt single speed for me which has quite a compact rear triangle. But that wasn't a problem for this as the arms can rotate to any angle before you tighten them up,
So if you want a lightweight, sturdy rack to fit any frame (with appropriate eyes), including compact, then this is the one.

Light and sturdy. A good buy
I've been trying to decide between the Tubus Fly and the TorTec Ultralite for fitting to my road bike. The price difference finally swayed me and I got the TorTec.
It's high quality and light, exactly what I wanted. Fitting to standard lugs is easy and I only had to bend the horizontal stays to get a perfect fit. There's plenty of adjustment in the horizontal stays to level out the rack. It's not at all flimsy and so sturdy that it feels part of the bike.
At first I feared that my Altura panniers wouldn't fit the 10mm rails. However, removing the hooks from the panners and taking out the small plastic insert converts the Altura bags from 8mm to 10mm.
I'm very pleased with the product.

light weight but sturdy
Light weight but sturdy. Great rack as an introduction to pannier bags. A bit fiddly to attach, but eventually fitted our two hybrids with a bit of bending involved. Not sure if the rack would be compatible with a large frame. May not fit properly over a rear mudguard, so please check.

If you want a strong and sound rack for medium weight touring or general shopping carriage, this is very near filling the bill.
The only disappointment is the narrowness of the rack top. It is a pity it is - needlessly, I think - just that bit too slim to provide a fully stable platform for a rack-top bag or the generality of occasional parcels that all utility cyclists have a need to carry from time to time. The manufacturers might consider a widening of the top area, with little or no consequent increase in weight.
Otherwise, the design is clever, sturdy and well thought out. The multi-adjustable arms that attach to the seat-stay eyes mean that the rack can fit every bike and ensure a clean-looking horizontal position. It is good-looking too, and comes at a very affordable price.
So - with one caveat only, this is a good and genuine product and can be highly recommended.

Good rack, but major flowback
For the price it is a really unbeatable quality product. Much said.
BUT there is a sure need to make a 5-7 cm shorter leg version of it. It sits just too high on my road bike with disk brakes (google before you buy!). Its not just looks stupid but also ads a higher centre of gravity with a weighty panniers so the bike became really wobbly and always tries to roll from one side or another when pushing it by hands. It just fits a pannier too much higher from the wheel axis.

Much lighter than expected
Easy to fit and light. Haven't used it with panniers yet but cant see how they'll be a problem to fit.

Nice Rack
Riding 6 countries in 6 days this rack proved brilliant - so easy to fit - lightweight but strong. I just strapped a drybag to it and ideal. It doesnt hinder access to the make repairs to the bike and a couple fo the gusy I rode with had the smae with proper panniers attached without any problems.

Seems to work ok
Despite the fact I can't install it with the top level as instructed. The arms extending horizontally to the seat stem are not long enough to install the rack level.

Lightweight but sturdy
Good fit for my Whyte Portobello bike. Easy to fix and ideal for my purposes - commuting panniers.

Robust and easy to fit
Bought six months ago. Still going strong. A doddle to install. Used on a bumpy daily commute with a heavy panier loaded on one side. stays rock solid. Pretty light as well. Recommended. Bargain.

Stylish, high quality light rack
Got this for commuting on my cyclocross bike (Cannondale CAADX - had to replace the rear Promaxdisc calliper with a TRP Spyre one - lovely slim disc brake - in order to provide clearance for the carrier). The carrier looks well on the bike, it's light, and easy to fit/adjust. My other option for this was a Tubus rack, but that's three times the price and this looks as well and is sufficient for commuting.

forget the bungee
I chose this rack because it was simple and didn't really have a "deck", which appealed to me due to the simplicity. It works fine to hold my panniers for commuting to work, but it will not accommodate a bungee cord for a simple quick tie down--because there is nothing to attach the bungee hook to at the bottom of the rack. Serious design flaw.

3rd time lucky in the fitting....
This is a great little rack. I use it on a boardman hybrid and have a child seat attached to it. It didn't come with instructions, it's not hard to fit but I managed to put it together incorrectly the first couple of times. It's irritating but not hard to get right (eventually).

Just the job
I have had this item for a number of years it is fit my bike with no problems and carries my panniers with ease. Very happy with them.

Light and strong
Perfect for me very lightweight in aluminium and strong enough to support my bagful of clothes and food for work and great purchase at a great price

Neat & well made
I had given up looking for a rack which did not look like something left over from a welding class at a railway bridge factory. This rack is beautifully made & finished, no rubbish welds just smooth joints. Slim, light and neat, if you like nice things you will love this.

A solid rack but has its flaws
I've had the older version of this rack for about 10 years and have done about 6000 km commuting with it in the last few years. It's held up well and can carry a good load, without much/any rattling or loosening. Its fit is very adjustable and so it's sure to fit most bikes. The bottom (at rear axle) wasn't quite wide enough for my MTB disc brake bike, but a bit of persuading and a longer screw got it in.
However...this rack has annoyed me when it comes to a few things:
1/ Getting panniers to fit it. The top tube can usually be fit with 8 or 10 mm conversion inserts that come with good bags, but the lack of a hook on the bottom severely limits your options on the type of bag you can get.
2/ The horizontal stays to the seat post bend in and bend out again (for some unknown reason) and so you cannot get a clip-on mudguard/fender through the small gap. Look at the picture closely to see what I mean. I cannot see a design/fitting reason for these bends. They could have just as easily been outwards.
3/ The angle the two down tubes makes is awkward to fit with even the most flexible-fitting panniers. I've had quite a few bags over the years, and most slip about on the top tube of the rack, since the bottom fit is difficult to get snug.

Good rack.
Easy to install to the bike. I have a cyclocross bike with no eyelets for the fenders/racks so I had to order Tubus clamp and longer axle sets also. Works well with Ortliebs City backpanniers. Great price for the money.

Great for a road bike used to commute
I have two of these racks, one fitted,on each of my two road bikes. My bikes have eyelets on the dropouts. The rack is fixed to the stays with the Tortec P-clips. The result is lightweight and very rigid. The quality of the product is good, good material, construciton and a nice matt silver finish. Having tried other racks (XLC, pletscher, ...) I can say that these racks are my strong favorite.

Light and well made
Bought this for my Cannondale MTB. Easy to install and adjust and fits well.

Good value
Fitted this to my Boardman hybrid. It seems a nice lightweight but rigid rack which is well made. The top fittings are excellent they are solid looking rods and with their nice looking adjustable fixings I would think most frames could be accommodated without too much trouble. The plate at the rear is suitable for both a clip on or screw on lamp.
The lower flat fixing flange is large enough to put a second mounting hole in, I drilled and tapped this each side with an M5 thread for a mudguard mounting. There are however no hooks for bungees but there are elastic straps available which come with screw on quick release mountings which would suit.
I'm very pleased with this little rack especially at the price it does exactly what I wanted but I'm sure you would want more features to use it for touring.

Not compatible with disc brakes
Didn't fit on bike originally purchased for as it would not fit bike with disc brakes. Have put it on to another bike which has caliper brakes and seems to work well.
09 January 2016
It is cheap, light, sturdy and well made.
This has been brought to go on my new commuter bike and fits the bill perfectly. It has been easy to fit, holds a pannier stably and fits over the disk breaks on the bike. I'm now looking for a rack mounted light a a reasonable price.

Well built light rack
Good, solid rack but still reasonably light. I had to saw off parts of rear mirror/light support because rear fender on my MTB didn't have enough clearance (but I fitted this rack onto a 29er so I knew there might be some difficulties -- officially this rack was for 26-28 inch wheels).
