Taking the city potholes and turning them on their heads, the Substance breaks over these crags & bumps in much the way a 29er would. In its british racing green finish, it’s got a look that gets better with a little bit of dirt and grime. But there is much more to the Substance than just an about-town commuter.
The Shimano 9 Speed Sora groupset is well known for its performance and durability making it the perfect choice for the Substance. The Sora shifters have the same dual control setup as the top end groupsets and also feature an optical window to show which gear you have selected. Shifting is precise and consistent, right the way through the 9 speed cassette. The Shimano Sora chainset and bottom bracket are stiffer and lighter than a standard square taper chainset. With 46/34t compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence.
Tektro C400 cable operated disc brakes with 160mm rotors allowing excellent braking performance in all conditions.
Finishing the Substance off is a collection of parts from Cosine. Using a Alloy 75mm reach bar,a 3D forged stem, Single bolt alloy 27.2mm seatpost and a Cosine road specific saddle. A great, light-weight finishing kit to top the Substance off.

If an Ex Demo or Shop soiled bike is listed, then this bike has been used for demonstration / test ride purposes. Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.
Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
