Aggressively designed for top trail-taming performance, this excellent E-MTB makes the most of its enduro geometry to keep you balanced and comfortable as you dive down the sharpest descents. Bolstered by the impressive Shimano Steps E8000 Motor, the E-Sommet can be set to Eco, Trail or Boost mode to let expend as much energy as you like when romping through the rowdiest routes.
Giving 170mm of impact-eating travel, the Fox Float Performance eBike forks and 160mm-travel Fox Float DPX 2 Performance Elite rear shock work with the Shimano XT 1x12 gearing and SRAM Guide RE brakes to let you fearlessly fly across the mountain. Tubeless-ready Maxxis tyres, wrapped around DT Swiss H1700 rims, ensure a bold and trusted roll on every outing.
Aiding you up to 25KPH is the new Shimano STEPs motor system, one of the lightest motors on the eBike market and designed specifically with MTB riding in mind. The E8000 system can handle some of the steepest climbs thrown in its way whilst making sure you have the smoothest pedal transfer whilst maintaining stability and speed.
Vitus has coupled the E8000 motor system up with the new ergonomical switch unit that reduces the chances of changing modes or catching it on branches, but giving the looks of a tradition left-hand shifter.
This is then wired up to the easy-to-read LCD display ensuring you know what setting you are in and how much battery life you have left. It is compact and tucked in the centre of the bars, it can then be custom set to match your unique riding style by choosing either Dynamic, Explorer or Custom Mode.
Giving you that extra bit of time in the saddle is a 504wh li-Ion battery, its compact design helps it blend in with the e-Sommet frame design
Using the brand new Shimano Microdrive freehub system, Vitus has spec'd the E-Sommet VRS with a Shimano 1x12 M8000 XT groupset. With an SLX 10-51 Hyperglide+ cassette coupled up with an XT shadow + rear derailleur and 34t front chainring your not going to struggle on any climb knowing you're supported by this ever-reliable Shimano setup.
Making sure you stop in time is a set of SRAM Guide RE hydraulic disc brakes. Paired up with a set of 200mm centreline rotors you know you have that added support on those tricky descents where you are tagging the brakes.
Finishing the VRS of is a Nukeproof cockpit, using Horizon alloy bars that are bolted to a Neutron stem. To give you a little extra room on the steep descents is a Brand X Ascend dropper post with the remote trigger lever allowing you to tuck the saddle out the way making it easy manoeuvre whilst hanging over the back wheel.
