Coming complete with 100mm-travel Spinner Air suspension forks, easy to use 1x9 Shimano Altus gearing and super grippy WTB TrailBoss tyres, the Nucleus 26 gives little rippers the ability and confidence to tear it up on the trail. This lightweight and responsive hardtail is alloy-built for a durable and dependable riding experience, while WTB TrailBoss tyres provide ample cushioning and comfort when their routes and runs turn rowdier.
The Nucleus 26 Kids is the ideal gateway bike for kids that want to get off the road and onto the trails.
Vitus have spec'd the Nucleus 26 with a set of Spinner 300 forks. A light wieght alloy fork with 100mm of travel supported by an air cartridge. This allows you to set the forks to the childs weight allowing them to get maximum travel out of the fork. Traditional spring forks can be tough for kids to use and based of the average childs wieght they will struggle to use all the travel. The 300 also have rebound adjustment along with a full lock out switch allowing you to dial in the forks to suit your childs riding abilitys.
The Shimano Altus/Sunrace drivetrain is the perfect combination of performance and durability, with the Altus 9 speed rear derailleur, all powered by Altus thumb shifters. The 1x9 speed system is driven by a set of Sunrace cranks, with their light weight alloy arms and a 30t narrow wide chainring to reduce weight and maintain strength. All of these will ensure the classic Shimano reliable shifting and performance but keep you supported when battling the mountains.
Tektro M290 hydraulic disc brakes with a 160mm 6 bolt lock rotor on the front and rear, offering high stopping power for tracks that you might not normally hit up.
