The Sommet VR features a components package that is big on value and geared towards maximum fun! A high performance suspension package is perfectly balanced with a RockShox Yari RC 160mm fork up front and a custom tuned Rockshox Monarch Plus RC3 at the rear giving all the reliability you need to race; ascend and descend with finesse.
The Shimano XT/RaceFace drivetrain is the perfect combination of performance and durability, with the XT shadow plus rear derailleur to cancel out the chain slap, all powered by XT shifters. The 1x11 speed system is driven by a set of RaceFace Aeffect cranks, with their CNC machined cranks alloy arms and a 32t chainring to reduce weight and maintain strength. All of these will ensure the classic Shimano reliable shifting and performance but keep you supported when battling the mountains.
The Sommet is designed to be ridden fast, when riding fast you need to know you can brake. So Vitus kitted the Sommet up with Shimano SLX hydraulic brakes, with 180mm center lock rotors giving you the braking power you need no matter what the weather or terrain you're trying to defeat.
Finishing the Sommet off is a collection of own brand parts from Vitus and Nukeproof. Using a Nukeproof riser bar, a Vitus 3D forged 50mm alloy stem, 31.6mm Brand X dropper seatpost and a Vitus MTB specific saddle. A great, light-weight finishing kit to top the Sommet off.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.
Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
