vitus's L range of bikes have a components package that has been tailored to better suit the female form and riding position for optimum comfort and enhanced performance. Whether you are planning to tackle your first century ride or just to join the A group on your local club rides; the Venon L will help you attain your goals in comfort and style.
The Venon disc brake specific frameset features T700 HM-UD construction for lightweight and durability with full internal cable routing which is compatible with both mechanical and electronic shifting set ups. Vitus have completely revised the frameset to improve vertical compliance and enhance comfort levels without compromising on lateral stiffness and power transfer. The addition of slender seatstays and a 27.2mm seatpost results in increased vertical compliance which translates into a smoother ride and reduced road vibration. The bottom bracket area is oversized to improve lateral stiffness and improved power transfer; up front the tapered headtube increases front end stiffness for improved tracking and handling.
A matching T700 HM-UD full carbon fork with tapered steerer adds comfort and enhanced steering precision; our revised lay-up further reduces road buzz to offer added comfort on rougher sections of road.
Vitus have incorporated through axles front and rear for enhanced braking performance and improved handling to counteract the brake forces which are transmitted through one side of the frame and fork. vitus have adopted the 100mm x 15mm front and 142mm x 12mm rear axle standards. The rear dropouts can be changed to alter the rear axle configuration to 135mm x 9mm QR via the use of our QR dropout set which is available to purchase separately.
Vitus's endurance geometry features a more relaxed riding position with the addition of slightly taller headtubes to maintain all day comfort and reduced lower back stress. This offers an optimum centralized riding position for improved stability and also enhances the overall handling characteristics.
Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano’s top end groupsets, making the 105 11 speed 5800 groupset a performance option for the masses.
The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano’s Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort.
With its two piece hollow axle design, the Shimano Hollowtech II chainset is both stiffer and lighter than a square taper chainset. Using a Pressfit bottom bracket shell also provides increased stiffness and bearing life over standard cartridge units. With 50/34 compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence.
Using the all new Shimano BR505 dropbar hydraulic disc brakes give the Zenium the stopping power it needs down the hills. The dual piston caliper ensures even brake wear and a greater performance.
Finishing the Venon off is a collection of own brand parts from Vitus. Using a compact bar, a 3D forged alloy stem, Carbon 27.2mm Vitus seatpost and a Vitus road specific saddle. A great, light-weight finishing kit to top the Venon off.

Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
