The Zenium SL frame features a super light 6066-T6 triple butted alloy tubeset with smooth welds; we have omitted a brace on the seatstays to help tune out road vibrations and have flared the seat tube at the bottom bracket junction to increase lateral stiffness for optimised power transfer and vertical compliance to combine the best of both worlds; up front a tapered headtube and oversized tubing culminate in razor sharp handling.
Vitus's semi-sloping endurance geometry offers a balanced ride resulting in reduced rider fatigue and confidence inspiring handling.
The T700 HM-UD disc brake specific full carbon fork features a tapered carbon steerer for increased steering precision with reduced road buzz from rough road surfaces. A 15mm through axle provides enhanced braking performance and improved handling to counteract the brake forces which are transmitted through one side of the fork.
With tyre clearance up to 28mm wide tyres the new Zenium SL offers great all round, all road capabilities.
Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano’s top end groupsets, making the 105 11 speed 5800 groupset a performance option for the masses.
The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano’s Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort.
With its two piece hollow axle design, the Shimano Hollowtech II chainset is both stiffer and lighter than a square taper chainset. Using a Pressfit bottom bracket shell also provides increased stiffness and bearing life over standard cartridge units. With 50/34 compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence.
Using the all new Shimano BR505 dropbar hydraulic disc brakes give the Zenium the stopping power it needs down the hills. The dual piston caliper ensures even brake wear and a greater performance.
Finishing the Zenium off is a collection of own brand parts from Vitus. Using a compact bar, a 3D forged alloy stem, Carbon 27.2mm Vitus seatpost and a Vitus road specific saddle. A great, light-weight finishing kit to top the Zenium off.
